Welcome to Patient Pals!

Together we will work on leadership skills that help us become the calm and confident owners that our dogs need. I will help you connect with your dog on a deeper level, through intuitive communication and by setting clear expectations and boundaries.

When we add a dog to our family, we want to integrate them into our lives. However, many of us struggle to find the right balance in our relationship and end up frustrated. By setting boundaries and expectations we can alleviate our troubles and get on track to where we want to be with our dogs.

Training Style

Methodology

By utilizing the Tenderfoot 3-step method, we will work to restore your ability to properly communicate with your dog and establish boundaries that help both of you succeed.

The Tenderfoot training method focuses on creating a strong and trusting relationship without utilizing treats or devices as motivation. We work together out of respect for each other, not because of bribery or pain. Let me help you step into a deeper relationship with your dog.

“Training with Meg/Patient Pals was such a great experience! I have a very smart young rescue with a high prey drive and independence and have worked with multiple trainers since adopting her. Meg’s explanation and guidance on the Tenderfoot training method gave me an entirely new and simple understanding of my dog and our relationship. The drills are really simple and much more effective for my dog - and with Meg’s guidance I can read her cues a lot better too. Meg was patient with me, effective over Zoom, and I didn’t feel overwhelmed by information. After a few weeks of practicing the drills I can clearly see me and Pax’s relationship strengthening, and she’s building trust and confidence in ways I haven’t seen in the 2 years I’ve owned her. Meg followed up after the session and has been available if I have questions. I seriously wish I’d had this opportunity right away - the combo of her training style and the method is pretty unbeatable!”
